According to Wikipedia, even the idea of mystical realities have been widely held in Christianity since the second century AD. This means that the early church was no stranger to Christian mysticism. If this is true, then we should at least be open and curious-enough to understand right? God did say, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6 NKJV).
